The first ROTARY club in wayanad was chartered on 21-03-1985, as Rotary kalpetta with the initiative of Rtn O Chandran the then GGR of calicut , sponsored by rotary calicut midtown, under the presidentship of late Er Sreenivasan PM and adv P Chathukutty as the secretary. They were serving in the same post during the provisional days too when the first FLOWER SHOW in wayanad was conducted with the help of Rtn Baba Ramesh, the charter member. The president resigned 3 months after the charter due to his personal problems and Dr TPV Surendran, the Vice president took charge automatically as the President and continued in the next year also.
We are now in our 40th year, and We are indebted to all the past presidents and members for maintaining our fellowship and friendship through serving the society in a humble way.
